Quickly secure logins to applications and systems using two-factor authentication from AuthAnvil.
One level of security is no longer enough.
Verizon’s 2017 Data Breach Investigations Report revealed stolen or weak passwords were responsible for 81 percent of hacking-related data breaches. While passwords are unlikely to disappear anytime soon, companies of all sizes must look beyond passwords to secure users’ access to business applications and systems.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is at the very core of AuthAnvil. 2FA solves the password problem by requiring something users know (username + password) and something they have (a token or smartphone app). This combination makes users prove they are who they claim to be and is incredibly effective in protecting against brute-force, phishing, and social engineering attacks.
AuthAnvil Authenticator App
With the AuthAnvil Authenticator mobile app, your users’ iPhone or Android devices can address all of their 2FA needs for both work and personal accounts. Whether it be generating one-time passcodes (OTPs), or approving out-of-band push notifications with a single tap, the AuthAnvil Authenticator app is cost-effective and convenient – for users and admins alike.
Rapid and Seamless Deployment
When it comes to rolling out 2FA, AuthAnvil delivers seamless user provisioning and just-in-time rollouts. You can easily synchronize Active Directory to AuthAnvil and have it automatically set to provision your users. And with the AuthAnvil Universal Director integration, you can synchronize with your Active Directory infrastructure and leverage it in the cloud – allowing you to keep all users, groups, and computers in sync.
Customization, Control, and Flexibility
With AuthAnvil, you are in control. You determine the who, when, and where of authentication. AuthAnvil monitors and records all user login activities and the applications accessed. Our best-in-class authentication experience allows you to determine which authentication methods are optimal for users to prove their identity to best suit your needs and policies, such as push-notifications, one-time passwords, or U2F devices.
Out-of-Band Authentication via Push
Using the AuthAnvil Authenticator smartphone app, users can complete their secondary authentication using a separate channel (in this case, a mobile network) to approve a push notification and verify their identity. This effectively thwarts attackers attempting to capture second-factor passcodes a user enters over the same channel as their primary login (i.e., the internet). As a result, the out-of-band technology featured in AuthAnvil push authentication is remarkably resilient to phishing attacks.
Expansive Library of Integrations
AuthAnvil is designed to complement many of your existing login systems and entirely replace others. Our 2FA is capable of protecting:
- Any web application supporting SAML, or running IIS or Apache
- Windows servers and workstations
- Linux and Unix servers and desktops
- Terminal Services and Remote Desktop Services, including RD Web Access and RemoteApp
- Citrix Access, Gateway XenApp, and XenDesktop
- VPNs and SSL-VPNs/li>
- Firewalls, routers, and switches
- RMM solutions, such as Kaseya and LabTech
- PSA solutions like ConnectWise and Autotask
AuthAnvil can authenticate with practically anything that speaks the RADIUS protocol. If it doesn’t, there’s an excellent chance we have written an agent that can consume AuthAnvil’s authentication framework and deliver 2FA to your organization.
